Emergency responders save nine people at Denny's Dam

Nine people needed to be saved after their canoes capsized near Denny's Dam.

At around 4:45 p.m. on Saturday, emergency responders were called to the dam. There, they found several people stuck on a barrier at the top of the dam.

Each was rescued with none suffering any injuries.

While Saugeen Shores police did not specify whether any of the rescued canoers were drinking, they are reminding the public that being intoxicated on the water can lead to disasters.
