Police investigating after Pride crosswalk damaged in Port Elgin

Saugeen Shores police are investigating an alleged hate crime in Port Elgin.

On Saturday, the Pride rainbow crosswalk on Gustavus Street was damaged after a driver reportedly spun their tires, leaving burnout marks.

This is the second time this crosswalk has been damaged. In 2020, two people were charged after allegedly spinning their tires and leaving burnout marks.
