Georgian Bluffs begins ditching work along local road

Ditching work is getting underway today (July 8) along 27th Street in Georgian Bluffs.

The work will be done along 27th Street from Somers Street to Finden Street, according to a media release from the Township of Georgian Bluffs.

This section of the road will be closed to regular traffic, with local traffic access being maintained. The work should last for several days, weather permitting.

Roadside ditches help drain water away from roads to prevent flooding and damage. Over time, they can fill with debris and must be cleared and maintained to keep drainage systems working properly.

The township is asking residents and drivers in the area to obey road signage for the safety of workers.
