One person charged following break-and-enter to rural property

Huron County OPP arrested and charged one person after a break-in at a rural property.

On June 28 just before noon, police were called about an individual that was discovered inside a shed by a property owner on MTO Road in Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh Township.

Officers arrived on the property and located the suspect, who was arrested and charged with numerous offences.

A 48-year-old of no fixed address was charged with break-and-enter and 3 counts of failing to comply with a probation order.

The accused was processed and held for a bail hearing, where they were remanded into custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice in Goderich.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
