Goderich post office temporarily closed

The Goderich Post Office has been temporarily closed due to air quality concerns, according to a statement from Canada Post.

A spokesperson for the national courier said "due to circumstances out of our control," a notice was posted on Thursday alerting customers to the temporary closure.

"The safety of our employees is our top priority," read the statement.

Canada Post did not elaborate on what caused the closure or when the post office might be reopened. Instead, it has directed customers to go to the Rexall post office in the meantime.

"We apologize for the inconvenience and thank customers for their patience as we work through this," said the statement.

The post office in Rexall is open Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m to 4 p.m.

If customers have questions regarding postal services, they can contact Canada Post's Customer Service team online at canadapost.ca/support or by telephone at 1-866-607-6301 (TTY: 1-800-267-2797).
