Campers threatened with imitation gun in Wiarton

Charges have been laid against a 42-year-old man after campers at a campground in Wiarton were threatened with what appeared to be a gun.

Grey Bruce OPP were called to a disturbance at the site on Wilson Street just before 4 p.m. on Sunday. Officers were told a man had been approaching campers in an "aggressive manner" and had allegedly flashed a firearm during the exchange.

Police arrived and arrested a man without incident.

A 42-year-old Owen Sound man has been charged with carrying a concealed weapon and possession of an imitation weapon for a dangerous purpose. The man is scheduled to appear in Owen Sound court on Monday.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
