Two teens charged with mischief following damage to Chepstow ball diamonds

South Bruce OPP have charged two teenagers from Brockton after a mischief incident at a local ball park.

Police say on July 12 just after 8:30 a.m., officers got a report of overnight damages to the ball diamonds in Chepstow.

Officers went to the diamonds and determined a pick-up truck and an off-road vehicle had been at the diamonds the previous night and had drove through the grass and spun tires causing damages to the area.

As a result, an 18-year-old and 17-year-old, both Municipality of Brockton residents, were arrested and charged with mischief, and the younger offender was also charged with dangerous operation and obstruct peace officer.

The accused are set to appear on September 3 at the Walkerton Ontario Court of Justice to answer to the charges.
