Police were called to the intersection of Concession 2 and Sideroad 5 Greenock in the Municipality of Brockton just before 3 p.m. on Wednesday, where two vehicles had collided. According to police, two women from one of the involved vehicles ran from the scene.

A description of the pair was released and a member of the public called in a tip that led to two suspects being arrested.

A 53-year-old driver from Huron-Kinloss is charged with disobeying a stop sign, driving while under suspension, failure to remain at the scene of a crash, and operating a vehicle without insurance.
