Humane Society to hold adoption event and fundraiser

The Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo & Stratford Perth (HSKWSP) will soon host a special ‘Fur The Love of Summer’ adoption and fundraising event.

From Friday, July 25 to Sunday, July 27, the humane society will host a fundraiser, with a goal of raising $5,000 in support of the Better Together Campaign.

These funds will go towards building a new Community Outreach Centre that will "continue to expand pet wellness education, critical outreach and veterinary care programs that keep people and pets together," according to a press release from HSKWSP.

The humane society will be offering $100 off adoption fees for adult dogs, with walk-in adoptions available at both centres.

Every adoption includes spay/neuter surgery, up-to-date vaccinations, parasite treatment, microchipping, and starter supply of food. All household members, including other dogs, must be present for meet-and-greets.
