Saturday concert at Saugeen Airport cancelled

The Saugeen Municipal Airport (SMA) says it is cancelling a concert that was set for this weekend, due to "unforeseen circumstances."

In a release Tuesday, the SMA said it regretfully has called off the Barns2Beaches Music Tour event scheduled for Saturday, July 26.

"While we were excited to bring this unique musical experience to our community, unforeseen challenges have made it unfeasible to proceed as planned. This decision was not made lightly, and we extend our sincere apologies to all those who were looking forward to the event," read the release.

Ticket holders who purchased through Eventbrite should automatically receive a full refund, but those with questions or concerns are encouraged to reach out to the SMA by email or at (519) 364-3220.

The event was set to kick off the Barns2Beaches Music Tour, which is organized by the Canadian Musicians Cooperative. The show promised a "high-energy, live music production featuring captivating performances from over 20 of Canada’s up-and-coming emerging artists."

There are still tour dates scheduled for August.
