Watercraft thieves sought in Georgian Bluffs

The theft of a pair of watercraft from a business west of Owen Sound has Grey Bruce OPP searching for suspects.

Investigators have determined that, between 6:17 p.m. and 6:24 p.m. on Sunday, a silver SUV and a white pickup truck drove into the back lot of a property near Highway 6/21 using an adjacent lot. The SUV was then seen attaching a trailer with a green 2022 Seadoo GTI personal watercraft. At the same time, the pickup truck connected to another trailer with a Zodiac centre console inflatable boat.

Both vehicles then took off, using the same adjacent lot, police said.

On Tuesday, police publicly released surveillance photos of the suspect vehicles in hopes the public can help identify those responsible.

Anyone with information about the thefts or who was in the area around the time they occurred is asked to call police at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
