Crash on Hwy. 21 sends one driver to hospital

An early morning crash on Highway 21 near Kincardine sent one driver to a local hospital.

According to Grey Bruce OPP, at 6:40 a.m. on Wednesday, July 23, they received a report of a crash at the intersection of Highway 21 and Bruce Road 20 in the Municipality of Kincardine.

Officers arrived on-scene with Bruce County Paramedic Services and Kincardine Fire and Emergency Service to find that two passenger vehicles were blocking the intersection. One of the drivers was taken to hospital with injuries.

Northbound traffic on Highway 21 was closed for a short duration but has since been reopened.

A 24-year-old from Kingston has been charged with failing to yield to traffic on a through highway and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
