West Perth continues clean-up efforts following wind storm

The Municipality of West Perth is letting residents know that clean-up efforts following Thursday's thunderstorms will continue into the weekend.

A statement from the Municipality of West Perth says that the local municipal operations team will be continuing clean-up work throughout the weekend following damaging winds and rain on Thursday evening.

Residents are being asked to bring any tree limbs or debris on their properties to the roadside for pickup.

West Perth will also be extending local landfill hours to 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 26 and 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Monday, July 28.

Additionally, wood drop-off fees will be waived until end of day Monday.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
