Public health seeks dog after biting incident in Saugeen Shores

The owner of a dog that bit a person in Saugeen Shores on Friday is being asked to come forward.

The victim was bitten around noon while trying to separate two dogs engaged in a fight near the Saugeen Shores municipal office on Wellington Street.

The individual will have to undergo post exposure rabies treatment unless Grey Bruce Public Health officials can confirm the dog is not infectious with rabies.

The dog that bit the individual is described as a medium-sized, mixed-colour dog. Both dogs involved in the fight were accompanied by individuals who witnesses believed were the owners of the dogs.
