Exeter hosts Ram Rodeo

Get ready for bucking broncos, barrel racing, and rodeo thrills—the Exeter RAM Rodeo rides into town next weekend, August 9 and 10, at the South Huron Recreation Centre Rodeo Arena.

Spokesman Mike Clarke called it a family-friendly event which will feature two full rodeo performances, a behind-the-chutes VIP tour, meet-and-greet photo ops, and a free rodeo for kids with paid admission.

"We've got true, authentic Ram Rodeo events including barrel racing, pole bending and of course, bull riding," Clarke added. "Opening up the weekend on Saturday, with the gates open at 12 p.m."

The event includes vendors, the Coors Original Saloon, and a free kids’ rodeo hosted by the Canadian Cowgirls at 2:30 p.m.

"We'll have a vendor area, as well as some bouncy castles and face painting," he explained. "And then the rodeo performance starts at 4 p.m.. Following the rodeo, we've got free entertainment in and under our beer tent with Conor Wilson."

The fun continues Sunday, with gates opening at 11 a.m., another free kids’ rodeo at 11:30, and the final RAM Rodeo performance at 1 p.m.
