Humane society 50/50 jackpot reaches $22K with less than a week to go

$22,000 and climbing.

The jackpot in a 50/50 fundraiser in support of the Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo & Stratford Perth (HSKWSP) is continuing to grow with less than a week until the draw.

The Oasis 50/50 Raffle was first launched by the humane society in May. It will see one lucky person awarded a pair of tickets to see Oasis' sold out show at Rogers Stadium in Toronto August 24, $500 in travel cash, plus half of the 50/50 jackpot. The other half of the pot will go directly to the humane society to help with vital veterinary care, shelter, and adoption programs.

"Opportunities like this don’t come around every day,” Victoria Baby, the CEO of HSKWSP, said in a statement. “Your ticket gives hope to pets in need, and you might just walk away with an incredible prize. It’s a win for you, and a win for animals.”

The last day to buy tickets to the raffle is Monday. Tickets are available online at humane-society-kw.myshopify.com. Every purchase between now and then will see the jackpot total increase, the humane society reminded.

The draw will be made at noon on Tuesday.
