Stratford retrieves nearly all its lost swans

The City of Stratford says nearly all the swans reported missing earlier this week have been located.

On Monday, notice was issued that six of the city’s swans were unaccounted for. The public was asked to keep an eye out for the birds, since they don’t have any tracking devices.

On Friday, the City said four of the six had been retrieved and returned to their winter quarters. The location of a fifth was known to be a nearby pond and would be retrieved by staff shortly.

If you see the sixth swan, contact Parks and Forestry staff at 519-271-0250 ex. 5246 or by email.
