Kincardine Welcoming Week Open House planned

The Municipality of Kincardine is joining communities around the world in celebrating Welcoming Week this September, an initiative dedicated to fostering inclusion, building friendships, and helping newcomers feel at home.

As part of the festivities, Kincardine will host a Welcoming Week Open House on Thursday, September 18, at the Welcome Centre at 707 Queen Street. The event will run from 2:30 to 6:00 p.m. and is open to all ages, with no registration required.

Visitors are invited to drop in, enjoy light refreshments, meet new people, and discover local resources to support settling, working, and thriving in the community. This year’s event will also feature opportunities to connect with local employers, thanks to the Bruce County Employment Bus Tour, which is bringing newcomers from Peel Region to explore career options and life in the area.

“Céad míle fáilte — a hundred thousand welcomes,” is the message the Municipality of Kincardine wants to share with all who attend.

More information about Welcoming Week can be found at welcomingweek.org or on the municipality’s website at kincardine.ca.
