Stolen trailer recovered in Northern Bruce Peninsula

Almost a year after it was taken, Grey Bruce OPP have recovered a stolen camper trailer and charged a Northern Bruce Peninsula resident.

According to police, the trailer, a 2022 Cherokee Wolfpup 16-foot camper, was reported missing between September and October 2024. Grey Bruce OPP said it received a report of the stolen trailer in May 2025.

Following an investigation led by the Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), OPP said it located the trailer on a property situated on North Shore Road in Northern Bruce Peninsula.

On Tuesday, members of the West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT), West Region Canine Unit, Grey Bruce CSCU, and Grey Bruce Major Crime Unit (MCU) executed a search warrant at the location.

One man was arrested without incident and the trailer was recovered.

The 49-year-old of Northern Bruce Peninsula is facing a charge of possession of property obtained by crime over $5000.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Owen Sound Court next month.
