Howick-Turnberry Fall Fair returns September 26–27

The Howick-Turnberry Fall Fair is back this month, bringing a weekend of family fun, entertainment, and community spirit to the Howick Community Centre.

The fair runs Friday, September 26, and Saturday, September 27, with this year’s theme, “Autumn skies and pumpkin pies.”

Office Manager Jess Miller says organizers are looking forward to welcoming visitors for two days filled with activities.

"We've got food trucks, inflatables, a Kid Zone, mechanical bull car show, lots of exhibits, and we're really looking forward to Friday night fireworks," Miller explained. "Saturday, we have our hospitality booth and our raffle. We have the firefighters doing a demonstration, our baby show, our comedy show, pet show, and horse show. We have a live band outside during the beer garden, which is 12:00 to 6:00. And then we have bingo starting at six o'clock."

Admission is by donation on Friday. On Saturday, children 12 and under get in free, while adult admission is $5. There is no charge to attend bingo.

For more information, visitors can check the Howick Agricultural Society’s Facebook page or website, or pick up a fair book at local businesses.
