Pedestrian hurt in hit-and-run in North Perth

Provincial police in Perth County are searching for the driver involved in a hit-and-run earlier this month that left a pedestrian hurt.

The pedestrian was using a crosswalk at the intersection of Wallace Avenue North and Campbell Street East in Listowel when they were hit around 3 p.m. on September 5. The driver of the vehicle involved took off after the collision, Perth OPP said.

The pedestrian suffered minor injuries.

On Tuesday, police announced they are looking for a grey sedan in connection with the incident. It is believed an elderly Caucasian woman with grey hair was driving the vehicle at the time.

Police are asking anyone with information about the vehicle of interest or its driver or who has video footage of the collision to call them at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
