Road near Durham Street bridge set for paving this month

Bruce County is alerting drivers that their may be more delays heading through Walkerton starting next week.

Starting on Monday October 6, asphalt resurfacing work will begin on the east side of the Durham Street bridge.

The work will span from William Street North to Ontario Road.

The county says the paving will last until late October. During this time, drivers can expect more alternating lane closures and delays.

The Durham Street bridge has been down to one lane for over a year.

Bruce County asks that drivers display patience and caution for the safety of construction crews in the area.
