Brockton job fair offers a variety of opportunities

Job seekers are invited to an upcoming job fair in Brockton.

Municipal Community Development Coordinator Christine Brandt said the event is a great opportunity for those entering the workforce, changing careers, or looking for their next opportunity.

"You'll be able to just meet local employers on site who are hiring," she explained. "Some will be hiring students, and they'll have co-op opportunities available, and others will be looking for adults who are looking for full-time employment."

Brandt added that it's a great chance to learn about different industries and career paths in the area.

The fair takes place at the Walkerton Community School on October 15.

"We will be welcoming students to the job fair between 1 and 4 p.m. that day, and we're open to the public from 4:30 to 7 p.m.," said Brandt.

Participants should bring their resume and be ready to make connections on the spot. It's a free event, and no pre-registration is required for job seekers.
