Motorcyclist killed in crash south of Mount Forest

A motorcyclist is dead after a single-vehicle crash south of Mount Forest.

Emergency crews were called to the collision on Sideroad 3 West between Sally Street and Concession 11 around 5:15 p.m. on Monday. The motorcyclist had been ejected from the bike in the crash, Wellington OPP said.

The driver, a 68-year-old Mildmay man, was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

The section of Sideroad 3 was closed for several hours for the investigation into the cause of the crash. It has since reopened.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who has dash-cam footage of the area from around the time of the incident to call them at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
