All treat, no trick: Georgian Bluffs to host Halloween movie night

Georgian Bluffs is offering residents a Halloween treat a week before the big day.

The township has announced it will host a spooky movie night at the Derby Arena in Kilsyth on October 24. The family-friendly Halloween classic Hocus Pocus will be screened at 7 p.m. Those planning to attend the free event are asked to bring a chair or blanket to sit on.

Ahead of the movie, there will be trick-or-treating with local service clubs set to hand out candy and information about their programs and services. It begins at 5:30 p.m. with everyone encouraged to wear a costume.

"This event is a great chance to celebrate the season, connect with local groups, and enjoy a classic Halloween movie with friends and family," the township boasted in a statement.

Local community groups and service clubs interested in participating in the trick-or-treating portion of the evening are asked to email the township at communications@georgianbluffs.ca.
