UPDATE: Dog involved in Hensall attack located

Huron County OPP say the aggressive dog involved in an attack that sent one person to hospital with minor injuries has been located.

The dog reportedly attacked a pedestrian in the Village of Hensall just before 1 p.m. on Thursday.

According to police, the dog, described as a pit bull, is in quarantine at a local vet and Bluewater by-law is involved.

A police officer shot at the dog while responding on Thursday, and it ran from the area. OPP now say the dog was not injured.

The fate of the dog will be determined at a later date, and police say charges against the owner are also pending.
