Battle of the Badges in Perth County raises nearly $2,500 for Victim Services and food bank

The recent Battle of the Badges hockey game between Perth County firefighters and police officers raised money for a good cause.

On Sunday, October 19, local firefighters and OPP officers traded in their hoses and handcuffs for skates and sticks at the Perth East Recreation Complex in Milverton.

It was a tightly contested game that resulted in a narrow 1-0 win for the Perth County OPP.

More importantly, $2,475 was raised for Victim Services of Huron-Perth, and a large amount of non-perishable food items were collected to be given to the Milverton Food Bank.

The Perth County OPP, Perth County Mutual Firefighters, and Victim Services of Huron-Perth would like to thank the community members and businesses who attended and showed their support.
