Outdoor movie night returns to downtown Owen Sound with ‘Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire’

Grab your blankets, popcorn, and your favourite people for a movie night under the stars in downtown Owen Sound.

The City of Owen Sound is inviting residents and visitors to enjoy a free Outdoor Movie Night this Saturday, October 25, in front of City Hall (808 2nd Avenue East) in the River District.

The site opens at 6:30 p.m., with the movie beginning at dusk. This year’s feature film is Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, a fun, action-packed family adventure that sees old and new Ghostbusters team up to save New York City from a mysterious force threatening to freeze the world.

Guests are encouraged to bring warm clothes, lawn chairs, and friends for an evening of outdoor fun. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, the event will move indoors to the Owen Sound Farmers’ Market.

Families can also enjoy free pizza for kids before the show, generously donated by Pizza Pizza.

Earlier in the day, families can take part in the Trick or Treat Trail from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., a spook-tacular early Halloween event for little ghouls and goblins in the River District.
