Teen charged after Mount Forest business, vehicle vandalized

A 16-year-old is facing charges after a vehicle and business in Mount Forest were damaged over the weekend.

Wellington County OPP were initially called about a suspicious person causing damage to a vehicle on Wellington Street around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Roughly four hours later, police were notified a window had been broken at a business on Main Street South.

A damage estimate has not been released.

The investigation into the two incidents led police to arrest a 16-year-old from Mount Forest. The teen is charged with two counts of mischief destroying or damaging property and has been released from custody with a future court date.

The teen's name will not be released due to their age.
