Wellington County OPP to give road closure updates on Municipal 511 website

Wellington County OPP are now going to be sharing road closure information on the Municipal 511 website.

According to the OPP, starting November 1, Wellington County OPP will be "enhancing its public communication by adding emergency road closures onto the Municipal 511 website, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, as its primary source of emergency road closure information."

The OPP adds that the OPP West Region social media accounts on X, Instagram and Facebook will still be used as a supplemental form of communication for accurate and timely information for drivers.

Municipal 511 is a map-based road information service designed to enhance communication between the police, municipalities and the public.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
