Eight charges laid against two suspects in Mount Forest break-and-enter

Two people have been charged with eight total offences following a break-and-enter investigation in Mount Forest.

According to Wellington County OPP, on October 29 at 8:30 a.m., officers were called to an active break-and-enter at a local vacant residence on Birmingham Street West in Mount Forest.

When police arrived on-scene, they conducted an investigation and have now charged a 33-year-old Arthur woman and a 49-year-old Mount Forest man with numerous offences.

The woman is facing charges that include break-and-enter, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and two counts of failure to comply with a probation order.

The male suspect has been charged with break-and-enter, as well as possession of methamphetamine and cocaine.

Police say the female accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing, while the male accused has since been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph on December 5, 2025.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
