It is going to be a windy Wednesday across midwestern Ontario.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the region warning of gusts up to 80 kilometres an hour throughout the day. The wind will initially blow from the southwest before switching to the northwest in the afternoon when a cold front moves through.
According to the national weather agency, the wind will be strong enough to toss loose objects, snap tree limbs, and cause power outages.
The wind will diminish later in the evening into the overnight hours, Environment Canada said.
