Lucknow Pharmasave supports Wingham Hospital fundraiser

The Wingham and District Hospital will benefit from a Giving Tuesday Promotion at Lucknow Pharmasave.

Pharmacist Dionne Smith shared that from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Tuesday, the pharmacy will help raise money for the hospital foundation.

"This is a major fundraising event for the Wingham and District Hospital Foundation, and they're fundraising for a bone density machine, which will be a new service for the hospital," she added. "Lucknow Pharmasave will match your donation on Giving Tuesday, so that the impact is doubled. While you're here, you can expect some refreshments, treats, some friendly faces and a chance to win some prizes!"

People can also sign the holiday card for our doctors, nurses and care staff and support staff.

"A bone density scan is a low-dose X-ray that measures calcium and other minerals in your bones. These measurements show the bone’s strength and thickness, which can indicate the likelihood the bone will break," according to the Hospital Foundation. "Bone density scans can identify osteoporosis and other conditions that weaken the bones, including if a cancer may have metastasized to the bones."
