The Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre is inviting families to kick off the festive season at its annual Light Up the Holidays event on Friday, December 12, 2025 from 5 to 8 p.m. in Southampton.

The evening will include holiday singalongs with the Chantry Singers, photos with Santa, crafts, face painting, heritage demonstrations, and a colouring contest. Guests can also take part in a scavenger hunt and a Price is Right-style game.

The Bruce County Public Library will host storytime readings in the Museum’s Book Nook and have its Bookmobile on site. Visitors can enjoy complimentary hot chocolate, coffee, tea, and festive cookie decorating.

Seating for the singalongs is limited and preregistration is encouraged, though most activities are open to walk-ins. Admission is free for members, with regular rates applying to others.
