Man arrested for mischief gets arrested again hours later for Clinton break-in

A man who was arrested for a mischief incident in Exeter didn't stay out of trouble long.

Huron County OPP say that on November 2 just before 10 p.m., officers responded to a report of a person who damaged a glass door at an address on Main Street South in Exeter.

Police arrived on-scene and arrested the suspect, who was charged with 2 counts of mischief under $5,000. The accused was released with a court date set for December 29 in Goderich.

However, just hours later after 2 a.m. the following morning, police responded to a report of a break and enter at a residence on Princess Street East in Clinton.

Officers arrived and found the suspect inside the residence in a bedroom, where they were arrested again after resisting arrest initially. They were subsequently charged with unlawfully dwelling in a house and resist peace officer.

The accused was processed and held for a bail hearing. The accused now has another later court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice in Goderich to answer to the additional charges.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
