Owen Sound police are investigating a fatal collision that took place Tuesday night.
Emergency crews were called to the collision at the intersection of 16th Avenue East and 10th Street East around 8 p.m. on February 17.
Police say the investigation determined that a pickup truck was travelling eastbound on 10th Street East and was in the process of turning northbound onto 16th Avenue East when it struck a pedestrian crossing the roadway.
The woman was flown to a London-area trauma centre, and was later pronounced dead. Police will not release the identity of the deceased.
According to police, the truck driver remained on scene and was fully cooperative.
Members of the Collision Investigation Unit and Forensic Services Branch, as well as the OPP Collision Reconstruction Unit, were on the scene and the investigation remains ongoing.
The intersection was closed overnight and reopened Wednesday morning,
