Job seekers and employers will have a chance to meet face-to-face next month as the Township of Huron-Kinloss teams up with the County of Bruce to present the Huron-Kinloss Job and Career Fair.
The event will take place Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Lucknow Community Centre, located at 694 Willoughby Street in Lucknow.
Organizers noted that the fair is part of ongoing efforts to support economic growth in the region by building stronger connections between local employers and people looking for work. The event is open to job seekers at every stage of their career journey, from students entering the workforce for the first time to experienced workers hoping to find opportunities closer to home. It is also geared toward individuals considering retraining or exploring new career paths.
“Our goal is to remove the barriers between talented residents and the businesses that need them,” explained Amy Irwin, Economic Development Officer for the Township of Huron-Kinloss. “A single conversation can open the door to a meaningful new career, and we’re thrilled to help make those connections happen right here in our community.”
A broad cross-section of industries is expected to be represented, including agriculture, education, healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing, public service and skilled trades. Employers from across the region will be available to speak directly with prospective employees about current openings and future opportunities.
There is no cost to attend, and job seekers do not need to register in advance. Organizers encourage anyone interested in learning more about employment options in the area to drop in during the event hours
