Huron County OPP says officers have located and arrested the suspect who was considered "armed and dangerous" on Thursday.
South Bruce OPP located the man around 10 p.m. and took him into custody with help from the OPP West Region Canine Unit.
Earlier that day, OPP said officers responded to a call just after 11 a.m. for a report of two individuals that appeared to be unconscious in a vehicle. The two ran off after first responders arrived on scene near Main Street South and Wellington Street East in Exeter.
The fleeing suspects then approached an individual, brandished a firearm, and stole their vehicle. One of the suspects was taken into custody by police, but the other made off in a white Dodge Ram pickup truck.
Police put out an alert that they were searching for a 38-year-old man from South Bruce that was considered armed and dangerous.
OPP thanked everyone who helped in the search and said there is no threat to public safety.
