Six-year-old dead after collision in Mulmur

A six-year-old has been pronounced dead following a collision between a passenger vehicle and a pickup truck.

At 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, police and paramedics responded to the crash at Country Road 17 and Country Road 19 in the Township of Mulmur.

The six-year-old passenger was transported to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

A 30-year-old man and a two-year-old child have been airlifted to a hospital in Toronto with life-threatening injuries. The other occupants of the vehicles have also been taken to a hospital with unknown injuries.

Police have closed the intersection and advise that it will remain closed while an investigation is conducted.

Anyone with information or dashcam footage is asked to contact the Dufferin OPP.
