64 new childcare spaces opening this winter in Drayton

There are 64 new childcare spaces coming to Drayton late this year.

A media release from the Community Resource Centre of North and Centre Wellington (CRCNCW) shares that in December of this year, there will be a "significant expansion" of its childcare services with the successful award of a new childcare centre in Drayton.

The new centre will be run through the Wellington Catholic District School Board and located at St. Martin of Tour’s Catholic School.

The Childcare Centre will create 64 new licensed childcare spaces, including 10 infant spaces, 30 toddler spaces, and 24 preschool spaces. The centre is slated for a December 1, 2026 opening date.

The site will be a CWELCC-funded location, supporting increased affordability for families through the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care system.
