Walk being held in Wingham in memory of Joey Havers to benefit local hospital

A memorial walk to celebrate the memory of Joey Havers is being held in Wingham this weekend, with the goal of raising funds for the Wingham and District Hospital.

Mary Havers, Joey's sister, shared in a media release that the walk will be held on Saturday, June 13 at 10 a.m. at the Wingham Community Trail Walking Bridge at 432 Josephine Street.

Participants are invited to join Mary in walking, jogging or biking the 15 kms from Wingham to Teeswater. Supporters can also make pledges to the hospital foundation to encourage Mary and her fellow participants, all while creating a legacy of generosity in Joey’s name.

Anyone interested in attending the event is welcome to walk, bike, cheer along the route, or make a donation.

To join the walk, please call or text Mary at 519-357-8269. More information can be found here: https://app.etapestry.com/onlineforms/WinghamandDistrictHospitalFou/haverswalk.html
