During the investigation, officers obtained and executed a search warrant at a residence associated to the accused.

There, police seized five illegal firearms and ammunition, 137 grams of cocaine, approximately two grams of crystal methamphetamine, and 142 ecstasy tablets.

A 28-year-old Owen Sound resident is facing a litany of charges including five counts of assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, sexual assault, possession of cocaine and ecstasy for the purpose of trafficking, and unauthorized possession of a firearm.

Police say due to the sensitive nature of this investigation, the name of the accused will not be released.

They were held for a bail hearing and subsequently remanded into custody.
