Bulldogs Hold On For Narrow Win in Walkerton

The feeling of a playoff game was in the air during a 2-1 Kincardine win over Walkerton. The loss was the host's first in the Hawks Nest.

The Bulldogs got on the board early with Gerrit Satosek putting a close range shot past Erik Angeli.

The Hawks would trade shots at each end with the visitors from Kincardine before an opening arrived. Brett Coulson would bury the puck into an open net to even the score after one.

In the second, like the first, there was more hits than shots on goal. Both teams traded blows throughout the period, and the game. Luke Inglis would put the eventual game winner into the top corner from the point.

Mitch Campbell stole the show late in the third, staying strong through the heavy pressure. Despite only 19 saves in the win, many were from in tight, along with a flurry in the final minutes.

Kincardine is back at it tomorrow against Wingham, Walkerton gets the rest of the weekend off.
