Lions Head Native With Big First Week in NLL

Rob Hellyer showed why he earned a new contract with the Toronto Rock over the weekend. He put up a 6 point night in his opening game against Rochester.

The Lions Head native had 3 goals to match 3 assists in a 13-12 win for the Rock.

He comes into 2015 after a career high 79 points last season.

Elora native Dane Dobbie had a goal and 4 assists for Calgary in an 18-14 loss to Vancouver.

Owen Sound's Adam Jones had 7 points (5G, 2A) for Colorado in a 20-13 win over Minnesota.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
