High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

<p>A small team from Listowel has returned from the Sport Karate International League Super Grands World Games in Buffalo with a pair of titles.</p><p>
From Promar Karate, Shihan Mark Yates from Listowel won a World Title in 18 and over Black Belt Traditional Weapons. That victory is his 3rd in the category and 6th World Title all together.</p><p>
Sensei Becky Schweitzer from Listowel won her first World Title. She placed 1st in 18+ Black Belt Creative Weapons, 2nd in 18+ Black Belt Self Defense and 4th in 18+ Black Belt Chinese/Kenpo Forms
