Some Junior Hockey Cancellations

A lot of hockey teams in the region will have a close eye on the roads and weather today. As a winter storm hits there is potential that some scheduled games will be postponed.

Four games from the OHL to Junior C are on today's schedule.

 

UPDATE:  Attack Game has been Rescheduled to Jan. 11 @ 6:00pm

The visiting team bus won't be making it to Owen Sound tonight, the Sarnia Sting snowed out of Midwestern Ontario.

Home debuts for overage Centre Erik Bradford and forward Liam Dunda will have to wait.

Bradford was picked yesterday from Ottawa for a pair of draft picks. Dunda was aquired in a swap with Plymouth sending picks the other way.

It's the second Attack home game postponed this week. The Peterborough Petes had to turn back on Wednesday for their game in Owen Sound.

Cyclones Welcome Waterloo:

If the drive up 86 doesn't prove to be too hazardous, the Listowel Cyclones are home to the Siskins at Memorial Arena.

Last night the Cyclones made it down to Brantford, beating the 99'ers 3-1.

Puck drop is scheduled for 7:30.

No Games In Western Junior C:

UPDATE:  Goderich at Hanover postponed to Tuesday, Jan. 13 @ 9:00pm and Walkerton at Kincardine cancelled, re-schedule date TBD

Other Games:

The Stratford Cullitons will be expecting Brampton in town tonight at 7:30. St. Marys hosts Chatham at the same time.

*Grey County's GMHL showdown between the Knights of Meaford and the Grey Highlands Bravehearts in Markdale has been cancelled. 

A full schedule of WOAA Senior Hockey means many teams will be watching the weather and roads as well.
