Elliot Saves Cyclones In Shootout Win

After two straight losses, the Listowel Cyclones avoid the slump with a 3-2 comeback shootout win over Cambridge.

Both teams traded goals in the second with Derek Elliot putting one home for the host Cyclones.

Elliot came alive again in the third to even the score with just over a minute to go in the third period. Jamie Huber and Tim Nauta picked up the assists.

In overtime nothing was solved, leading to a shootout. Garrett James would score the only goal in the breakaway competition, giving Listowel the win.

Tyler Fassl made 25 saves, including all 3 in the shootout for the win.
