Hawks Win 3 Games in 3 Nights

The Walkerton Hawks close out their weekend with three straight wins following a 6-3 score Sunday over Goderich. Earlier, the Hawks swept a home and home with Kincardine on Friday and Saturday.

Sunday's result was close for most of the meeting. The Hawks led only 1-0 after one with a goal by Brett Coulson.

In the second, Chase Duckworth would even the score for the host Flyers. Minutes later Lauchlin Elder and Andrew Gooding traded goals for a 2-2 scoreline midway through the second. Not long after Coulson potted his second of the night with John McCrae doubling the lead moments later.

Up 4-2 in the third, Josh Deyell added another for Walkerton. Duckworth added his second of the game for Goderich to get back within two. Just before the buzzer Matt Shields would add an empty netter for the Hawks.

The win puts Walkerton only 2 points back of first place Wingham with 1 game in hand on the Ironmen.
