Flyers Look For More Altitude in Western Jr. C

The Goderich Flyers have just two games left in their Western Jr. C regular season schedule.

Saturday, Jan. 24 at home against Hanover and Fri. Jan. 30 in Mount Forest. Flyers coach David Errington says it will be a good opportunity to wind up for the playoffs.  The Flyers have 8 wins this season, two of those have come against Wingham and one against Walkerton.

Errington says the team has improved through the year including being more disciplined as the season went on.

"As the year progressed, they (the players) started buying into the system," says Errington. "And now we're more disciplined."

Goderich has 776 PIM so far this season, middle of the pack. Oddly enough, the two most penalized teams are the top two. Wigham has 880 PIM and Walkerton has 872.

Goderich currently has an 8-26 record and will finish in sixth place in the league.
