Cyclones Shut Out On The Road

The Listowel Cyclones had no answer in Cambridge, losing 5-0 to the Winterhawks.

Cambridge scored twice in the first, once in the second and another two in the third on their way to a victory.

Listowel were outshot with only 23 on net, Lucas Machalski stopped all of them. Tyler Fassl made 23 saves on 27 shots.

An incident early in the third but a damper on the Cyclones chances of a comeback. Leading scorer Derek Elliot dropped the gloves with the Winterhawk's Zach Magwood, leading to game misconducts for the pair. At the same time Listowel's Chad Lemire squared off with Phil Caputo.

The loss comes just over a week after the Cyclones beat Cambridge 3-2 in a shootout at home. The week is over for Listowel with the next game Friday night against Stratford.
